Five people were transported to a Columbia City trauma center following a three-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon.
According to a Warsaw Police Department crash report, officers responded around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of East Center and North Harrison streets in Warsaw. A vehicle – driven by Carolyn M. McCord, 27, Wooster Road, Winona Lake – was reportedly traveling northbound on Harrison Street when the light turned yellow. McCord proceeded through the intersection and was hit on the passenger side by a vehicle driven by Jeannie I. Sanburn, 39, West Center Street, Warsaw. As a result of the collision, McCords vehicle struck a third – driven by Brigette S. Young, 44, South CR 350E, Warsaw – before flipping onto its side and coming to a stop.
McCord and her four passengers required assistance to get out of the vehicle and were later taken to Parkview Medical Center for medical clearance.
