Police arrested five people and recovered at least four ounces of cocaine in a drug bust Wednesday afternoon.
Undercover drug officers said they are still totalling the amount of cash and drugs they seized from a residence at Shamrock Trailer Court in Warsaw. More than $1,000 in cash, a vehicle and paraphernalia were seized by the officers.
Four of those arrested are being held in Kosciusko County Jail without bond. Michelle Lynne Gray, 22, of 920 Anchorage Road, Warsaw, is charged with dealing cocaine or a narcotic. Steven Lee Smalley, 28, of 489 Clinic Court, Warsaw, is charged with possession of a controlled substance. Peblo Saldivar Gonzalez, 18, of 2441 W. CR 250S, Warsaw, is charged with dealing cocaine. Crescencio Cruz, 18, is charged with dealing cocaine or a narcotic. Cruz did not give jail officers a home address.
Evelyn Gonzales, 20, of 423 E. Arthur St., Warsaw, is charged with visiting a common nuisance and is being held on $250 bond.
Police say they expect more arrests as they continue their investigation in the case.
The investigation involved officers from the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force, Indiana State Police and Goshen Drug Task Force, and was assisted by the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department and Warsaw Police Department.
A member of the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force said the investigation lasted several weeks and culminated in the drug arrested.
Two of the suspects, Cruz and Gonzalez, were allegedly major suppliers to Kosciusko County, the officer said. One is also suspected of being an illegal alien, according to police.
Police said they have investigated the two for more than three months.
