Police made two separate meth busts around the same time Monday afternoon, arresting four adults and a juvenile.
Around 3:30 p.m., Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers, acting on a tip of a possibly impaired driver, pulled over a vehicle near the intersection of U.S. 30 and CR 250E. A K-9 alerted officers to methamphetamine, and after removing the driver and a passenger, police found finished meth, meth ingredients and a small bit of marijuana, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
Trevor Lee Smith, 39, of 617 Widaman St., Warsaw, and Michelle Lee Hoover, 42, of 201 E. Greenhause Drive, Syracuse, are both being held on preliminarily charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and meth precursors.
Minutes later, Warsaw police investigating a report of three people trying to sell a possibly stolen radiator at Lewis Salvage, 1961 White Industrial Drive, Warsaw, used another K-9 to sniff out meth from a vehicle there.
Danny Ray Clark, 18, of 1836 Sue Ave., Warsaw, and Megan Lynette Jamison, 25, of 411 Westwood Lane, Rochester, were both arrested on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, meth precursors, and paraphernalia. An unidentified juvenile was also arrested, but released to his parents.
Drug task force officers believe additional charges will be filed in these incidents, the sheriff’s department said.
