Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
Fisher served as Mentone's principal from 1977-1983. He replaces Jon Parker, who is leaving to join the teaching staff at Tippecanoe Valley High School.
Fisher resides at Wolcottville with his family but hopes to move to the Mentone community soon. He has been principal at Wolcott Mills Elementary School since 1990.
Since beginning his career in education in 1967, Fisher has taught at Shelby Elementary, served as assistant principal at Oak Hill Elementary, both in Lowell, and served as principal at Laketon School in North Manchester.
He is a member of the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development, the Indiana Principals Leadership Academy, the Indiana Computer Educators Association and the LaGrange United Methodist Church.
A reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 25 in the Mentone School cafeteria to welcome Fisher and his family to the community.
