Police, fire and EMS departments were kept busy all morning as the first measurable snowfall of the season brought slick conditions.
At 7:09 a.m., Central Dispatch received a call reporting a SUV-van collision on U.S. 30 near VanNess Road. Rescue personnel worked to free the driver of the SUV. One of the vehicles in the collision reportedly crossed the median from the westbound lane and hit the eastbound vehicle.
Further information was unavailble at press time as emergency personnel were still investigating at the scene and at Kosciusko Community Hospital, where the victim was transported.
The vast majority of accidents in the county this morning were slideoffs that did not involve injury, police said.
