The First Friday for this month is Friday in downtown Warsaw.
The event is titled “Great American Picnic,” and is sponsored by First Christian Church from 5 to 9 p.m.
There will be inflatable games and free hot dogs. A watermelon feast is being sponsored by Tower Bank.
Appearing on stage are Clunette United Methodist Church giving a tribute at 6:30 p.m.; Optimist Singers and Lake Area Band at 7 p.m.; Deb Collier’s School of Dance will perform at 7:45 p.m.; and the Kosciusko County Animal Welfare League pet parade and look alike contest is at 8 p.m. People are encouraged to bring their costumed pets and register at the AWL table on the courthouse lawn.
Buffalo Street Emporium will have face painting and a Patriotic Gummi Bear special.
Kelaineys will have a coloring contest to celebrate National Ice Cream Month. Courthouse Coffee will serve up patriotic red, white and blueberry Italian ice.
B’macs will have $5 box lunches to take to the concert in the park or to eat downtown. There also will be a water balloon toss.
Echos Of The Past Antique Tractors will be dishing out their ice cream.
Dennie House will have indoor and outdoor sales, free snacks and gourmet coffee.
Indiana Antiques will have a coloring contest for kids 12 and under with prizes. There will be free popcorn and Sioux City Soda.
Warsaw Fire Department will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a hog roast and open house. Proceeds from the hog roast will go toward the Hoosier Burn Camp. There will be hand out and safety demonstrations.
The Blues and Barbecue concert is in Central Park with Ray Fuller and the Bluesrockers performing at 6 p.m. and Janiva Magness performing at 8 p.m.
