First Friday In December Is 'Hometown Holly Days'

The next First Friday is “Hometown Holly Days” Dec. 6 from 5 to 9 p.m. in downtown Warsaw.
There will be a Morning Optimists Santa House and clog dancers from 6 to 7 p.m.
The second annual Twinkle Light Parade will begin at 7 p.m. on Center Street. People who are interested in participating in the parade can call Paula Bowman, downtown events coordinator, at 574-376-0233.
There also will be carriage and sleigh rides through Central Park, sponsored by Key Bank. People are encouraged to bring a canned or dry food as a donation to ride the carriage and sleigh rides.
There will be “make it and take it” crafts for children at city hall.
First Friday is sponsored by the Dr. Dane and Mary Louise Miller Foundation and the city of Warsaw.
A light perimeter project also has been planned where there will be perimeter lights at 40 downtown businesses.
There will not be a First Friday in January. February’s First Friday will be “Fire and Ice” with ice sculptures in the downtown.
