First Friday 'Fire and Ice' is Feb. 6

First Friday Fire and Ice Festival is Feb. 6 in downtown Warsaw.
This is the fifth year for the event and ice sculptures carved by Michiana Ice Carvers Association will be displayed on Main, Buffalo, Center and Market streets in Warsaw, according to Paula Bowman, event organizer.
Carving will take place at 10 a.m. Feb. 6 and First Friday will be from 5 to 9 p.m.
Michiana Ice Carvers will carve more than 11,400 pounds of ice.
There are 31 sculptures and sponsors this year, including Glam, Alderfer Bergen & Company, Century Link, Good Excavating, Reinholt’s Town Square Furniture, Clevenger Insurance, Deb Collier’s School of Dance, Bailey Moore Foundation, Mad Anthony’s, Lake City Bank, Everest Excavating, Old National Bank, Alignlife, Warsaw Community Development Corp., Flexhaust, Indiana Antique Company, Peakey Enterprises, Rex’s Rendezvous, Fidelity National Title, Penguin Point, 1st Source Bank, Times-Union, city of Warsaw, Rowland Law Office, B-Macs On Buffalo, One Ten Craft Meatery, Theresa Bakehorn Group, Kosciusko County Velo Cycling Club, La Troje, Indiana Lakes & Streams, Bobcat of Warsaw and a Dane and Mary Louise Miller Foundation centerpiece.
First Friday events include a 4H leaders chili cook-off at Lake and Market streets from 5 to 8 p.m., hot chocolate on the courthouse square and Bailey Moore Collection clothing and Girl Scout cookies will be for sale at Latte Lounge, 108 N. Buffalo St.
