First Friday, Downtown Days Street Closure Info Listed

First Friday is this Friday in downtown Warsaw, and Downtown Days are Friday and Saturday.
First Friday will be from 5 to 9 p.m.
Downtown merchants will host sidewalk sales all day Friday and Saturday. There will be food vendors set up in the former National City Bank parking lot.
Beginning at 3 p.m. Friday, Buffalo Street between Center and Market streets will be closed and will not re-open until after 7 p.m. Saturday.
At 4 p.m. Friday, Lake Street from Market Street to the alley south of Service Liquor will be closed until approximately 8 p.m. to accommodate First Friday events.
All parking spaces on Market and Center streets between Washington and Indiana streets will be cordoned off for the Shrine Parade Friday at 8:30 p.m.
Even though the parade does not start until 8:30 it will be necessary to cordon off the parking spaces by around 4:30 so streets are clear.
The Shrine Parade route will begin at the intersection of Columbia and Market streets, travel east on Market Street to High Street, turn left on High Street and go on Center Street and travel west on Center Street back to Columbia Street.
On Saturday, the following streets will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.: Center Street between Lake and Indiana streets; Indiana Street between Center and Main streets; Main Street between Lake and Indiana streets; Lake Street between Main and Center streets; and Buffalo Street between Main Street and the alley north of the city parking lot.
The Market Street intersection will be open, and parking is available on Market Street. Also, the area in front of Rex's Rendezvous will be closed until midnight or later Saturday.
Warsaw Community Development Corp. has received permission for residents and merchants to park in the following areas: Owen's & Co. parking lot after 1 p.m Friday and all day Saturday; MutualBank parking lot after 5 p.m. on Friday and after noon Saturday; the Zimmer Hotel parking area; county parking lots at the corner of Fort Wayne and Lake streets, West Main Street lot and the lot behind Mad Anthony's anytime after 5 p.m. Friday.
