The second annual First Friday “Chili Nights” was Friday night in downtown Warsaw.
Judges were Gary Gerard and Dan and Teresa Daggett.
People’s Choice winners were: first, Chops Firepit, David Creekmore; second, Dig’s; and third, Crazy Day Gourmet, Tanna Wright and Tracy Nichols.
Restaurant division: first, Viand Catering, Andrew Jones; and second, Grill and Grate, Allison Robbie.
Honorable mentions were: BMac’s/Crazy Day Gourmet; Rex’s Rendezvous; and Mad Antony’s.
Individual division: Eric Ohman, first, cooking for Presbyterian Church of Warsaw; and second, Bill and Nanette DeGaetano, cooking for Allowing Christ To Shine ministry.
The downtown merchants and Warsaw Community Development Corp. thank all the chili makers for bringing their creations downtown.
They also thank Ed Boggs and family for giving more than 500 people hayrides, and to all those who brought other foods and items to First Friday.
The next First Friday is Dec. 2 titled “Hometown Holly Days.”
