Now I guess this is where I'm suppose to scream, holler, jump up and down, and demand the Times-Union stop printing Marie Cocco's column because she wrote an anti-gun column.
Well, I don't think so. I'm way too old and I'd probably pass out if I tried. More than that I just consider the source. She's obviously one of those fools that will need to have a very nasty encounter with some sort of criminal before she understands the necessity of personal self defense.
I have paid very little attention to her over the years because I've known she was pretty far left, so I don't know this for sure, but my guess is that she condones the murder of more then a million babies by their own mothers every year and ignores the fact that more than 2 million crimes are prevented every year by armed law-abiding citizens. And, by-the-way, those figures come from the Department of Justice. Hardly pro-gun.
She mentioned the fact that carry reciprocating across state lines was very narrowly defeated in the Senate. Well, Indiana is in a big way responsible for that. We keep re-electing the RINO Lugar. He was one of two Republicans that voted against the bill and it only failed by two votes.
