The Warsaw Fire Department is investigating a fire late Tuesday night in a mailbox outside the Warsaw post office.
The fire occurred in the outside mailbox for metered mail at 11:14 p.m. A customer putting mail in the box saw smoke and reported it to police.
A spokesman for the Warsaw Fire Department said they are investigating the cause of the fire. He said that something hot was apparently thrown in the box, but they are unsure if it was a piece of mail.
