Firefighters Battle Electrical Problem In Warsaw HomeWarsaw firefighters were up early this morning dealing with a wire failure in the wall of a Warsaw home.
Max Kinsey, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory public information officer, said there wasn’t really a fire by the time they arrived to 3669 E. CR 100N, Warsaw. The fire had put itself out but there was light smoke in the house.
The call came in at 3:06 a.m. today from the home, which county records indicate is owned by Donna Burke. Firefighters left the scene at 4:22 a.m.
“With the wire still hot, it could have sparked up,” he said.
Firefighters got the electricity to that side of the house turned off and did use some water from a water can on it.
Damage was estimated at $2,000 or less, Kinsey said.
Winona Lake Fire Department assisted at the scene. Lutheran EMS was called as a precaution, but no injuries were reported.
