Fired

Editor, Times-Union:

Even though I am a Christian man, I never claimed to be perfect, as no one is, but I certainly am not the "pervert" that I have been made out to be, by malicious rumors and gossip.

As one woman got prayer taken out of schools, one woman's word, as a so-called "reliable source" with a "wild imagination" got me fired! A personal vendetta, that finally got even! How sad!

Those who know me, know I would never do such a thing. I was simply doing my job. I took pride in working at my company and often wore their logo shirts out in public. I loved my job and I looked forward to going to work every day. I always tried to treat everyone with kindness and respect.

Two weeks before I was fired, I had spent several days in the hospital, in which I found out I was diabetic. I had just been approved, by my insurance, that they would pay for my diabetic supplies. She not only cost me my job and my insurance, but she chose to slander the Boggs name, as well. But I refuse to lay down and die!

God is good and He has always taken care of me. I choose to leave this matter in His hands, for He says, "Vengeance belongs to Me." It's sad that some people can only be happy, when they are making other people miserable! I have done nothing to be ashamed of. When I lay down at night, I can shut my eyes and go to sleep with a clear conscience, knowing I am right with my God.
