Warsaw Fire Department responded to a report of smoke in Dunham's Sporting Goods Wednesday morning.
The manager of the store called in reporting that he smelled smoke, according to Firefighter Jeremy Williams.
When crews arrived, smoke was visible within the store, but no fire or flames were found. After a 360 inspection of the building, the source of the smoke was found to be a heating unit on the roof.
Crews were on scene for approximately one hour. A heating and ventilation expert is inspecting the faulty heating unit.
Extent of damage, if any, is unknown at this time.
