At 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, the Kosciusko County Central Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a chimney fire at 1308 Rivercrest Drive, Warsaw, inside of Melody Acres subdivision
The Warsaw and Winona Lake fire departments responded to the incident and discovered a fire, which had spread to the attic and rooftop of the building.
By 8:10 p.m., the fire departments reported having the flames under control and left the scene three hours later. No injuries were reported, and the residents said neighbors alerted them of the fire, allowing them adequate time to vacate the building.
Damage is estimated at $80,000. The building owner is Harry Marshall.
Also on the scene were the Multi-Township EMS and the American Red Cross.
