Fire Causes ‘Minimal’ Damage To CR 300N BarnA barn sustained minimal damage after a fire Saturday afternoon.
The Plain Township Fire Department arrived on scene to the barn fire at 1417 E. CR 300N, Warsaw, at 3:42 p.m., according to Assistant Fire Chief Jared Haughee.
The fire started in the wall behind a wood stove in a shop in the barn. All the fire was contained to the shop area of the barn, he said.
While he didn’t have a damage estimate available, Haughee said it was “pretty minimal. Mainly just in the wall of the outbuilding there.”
Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory assisted, and firefighters were on scene about two hours.
No injuries were reported.
County records list the property owners as Matthew G. and Laura J. Gillis.
