SYRACUSE - The Oakwood Foundation, Syracuse, will present its 10th annual Oakwood Foundation Fine Arts Festival from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

The festival will have more than 60 award-winning artists, whose works are displayed in private and public collections throughout the U.S. and many artists whose works may be found around the world.

Artists will vie for the Artists Award. Judges for the award will be art teachers and professional artists not associated with the show.

Oakwood also will have the Up-and-Coming Artists section, where artworks are displayed from more than 70 elementary and junior high school children. Art work was selected by art teachers, and each student received an award certificate.

Children attending the festival also may explore their artistic talents in the Children's Art area.

Festival food will include everything from barbecue to elephant ears to kettle corn.

Entertainment will feature music provided by the cast and members of the Madrigal and Passion plays performed at Oakwood at Christmas and Easter, and by Amy Moser, a local recording artist.

Children's book authors and illustrators Adan Zepeda and Nancy Glon and Jerry E. Juergens will read their latest books and sign them for fans. Zepeda and Glon recently released "The Mouse Ark," while Juergens has released "A Star Named Twinkle."

Another new feature will be a raffle with prizes donated by local merchants.
