Filing Period Ends For May Primary

Filing for the May 6 primary ended at noon Friday.

The general election is Nov. 4. The last day for candidate withdraws is Monday at noon.All persons who filed for the May primary in Kosciusko County are Republicans, except Dan Damron, who filed as a Democrat for the county council seat.

At the county level, the following people filed: Duane G. Huffer filed for Superior Court I judge; James C. Jarrette and Torrey Bauer each filed for Superior Court II judge; and Joe V. Sutton and Michael L. "Mike" Valentine filed for Superior Court III judge.

Jason F. McSherry is seeking the circuit court clerk seat; Cindy A. Nolton and Sue Ann Mitchell are seeking county treasurer position; incumbent John E. Sadler is seeking the county coroner post; and incumbent Richard Kemper is seeking re-election as county surveyor.

Ronald D. Truex is seeking re-election to the middle district seat on the Kosciusko County Commissioners, and Brad Jackson is seeking the Northern District Kosciusko County Commissioner seat.

Thomas Anglin, Robert G. Sanders and Larry E. Teghtmeyer are seeking the at-large seats on the Kosciusko County Council.

For the Whitko Community School Board, Michael D. Braddock and Cynthia A. Kreger filed for the District 1 seat; Roger Boggs filed for the District 2 seat; and Gordon "Jim" Hayes Jr., Terry Eberly and Shannon Longmaid filed for the District 3 seat.

For the Tippecanoe Valley School Board, David O'Brien filed for the District 1 seat and Hal D. Hoffman filed for the District 2 seat.

For the Wa-Nee School Board, Don Lehman filed for the Scott-Jefferson Township seat and Christina Eshelman filed for the at-large seat.

Eric Brown filed for the Olive Township Wa-Nee School Board seat and Chris Gillam filed for the at-large seat.
