NAPPANEE – Fern Iris Yoder, 93, of 1683 Plymouth-Goshen Trail, Bremen, died at 9:25 p.m. April 9, 2012, in Bremen Community Hospital, where she was admitted earlier in the day.
She was born Dec. 30, 1918, in Elkhart, to Charles and Nora Weaver Goss. On Dec. 24, 1944, in Bremen, she married William Haskell Yoder, who died Aug. 21, 2003.
Surviving are three sons; a daughter; eight grandchildren; two great-grandsons; two brothers, including Melvin (and spouse Janice) Goss, Nappanee; and two sisters, Naomi (and spouse Wayne) Weldy, Winona Lake, and Pearl (and spouse Carlyle) Chupp, Nappanee. She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister and a great-grandson.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Bremen, with the Rev. Ben Hammond officiating. Burial will be in South Union Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. ***** Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.
