Felony, Misdemeanor Battery Charges FiledA Warsaw man was arrested 10 days ago after allegedly punching a woman multiple times and throwing her into a Christmas tree.
James Roosevelt Boose, 47, of 183 Downy Drive, Warsaw, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 10:46 p.m. Dec. 2 for domestic battery, with preliminary bond set at $6,000.

On Dec. 2, Warsaw Police Department officer Miles Reichard responded to a domestic battery at Boose’s address. A woman there she and Boose were arguing and he became angry and punched her multiple times on the right side of her face and the back of her head while holding her down.
The woman said her parents arrived and saw Boose throwing her into the Christmas tree.
Reichard saw the victim had swelling and redness on the right side of her face and eye, red marks on her scalp and top of her head, a red mark on her right forearm, and scrapes and swelling to her left wrist.
A child under 16 was present when the battery occurred, the victim said.
A witness said she saw Boose grab the victim by the hair, pick her up and throw her down onto the Christmas tree.
Boose admitted to Reichard that he put his hands on the victim and knocked the tree over, court documents state.
Boose has been released on his own recognizance, with an initial hearing set for 9 a.m. Dec. 27.
