Students from Warsaw Area Career Center Family, Career, Community Leaders of America placed at state competition recently and will be heading to nationals.
WACC FCCLA had 27 students attend State Leadership Conference in Indianapolis March 3-5.
While attending the conference, members competed in the categories of Environmental Ambassadors, Life Event Planning, Focus on Children, Interpersonal Communications, Chapter Showcase Display, Chapter Service Display, Illustrated Talk and National Programs in Action.
Students had to follow a rigorous rubric and provide presentations of up to 15 minutes in length, including specific visuals, to a panel of judges.
Twenty-two members received the highest scores in the state, allowing them the opportunity to compete at the national level. This year's National FCCLA Leadership Conference is being held in Anaheim, Calif., during the second week of July.
Students are currently working on raising the funds that would allow for them to take part in the leadership experience.
