Why risk being arrested for drunken driving on New Year's Eve when a free cab is just a phone call away?
Once again, Fast Cabs Taxi Co. is offering free cab rides Dec. 31 from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. as part of the Save-A-Life program.
Dave Cesaretti, Fast Cabs owner, said last year, the taxi company provided "hundreds and hundreds" of rides to people within the City of Warsaw limits and this year it's expected they will provide just as many. In the more than 15 years the taxi company has provided the free taxi rides, he said it's been kind of crazy, but it's something the company looks forward to each year as a way to show their appreciation to their customers.
For a free ride New Year's Eve within the city limits, call 269-2222.
Cesaretti said without the generosity of the sponsors, the annual free cab rides would not be possible.
The sponsors this year include American Legion Post 49, Rex's Rendezvous, Bennigan's Tavern, Liquid Assets, both Service Liquors, Homer's Hideaway, Time Out Inn, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Hoggles, JD's Roadhouse, Eagles and Schrader's Automotive.
