According to a recent paper, 1 billion people are going hungry. I seem to remember years ago our government paid farmers for not planting. I don't think that was a good idea. Purpose was so farm prices would be higher. To let farmers plant would help unemployment. The government should use that money to buy farm products and give to the hungry. I think our country would be then blessed by God. I don't know if the government still pays farmers for not planting.
The Bible has a story when Jesus and others were in a boat on a sea. The sea became rough. They woke Jesus as he was sleeping. He calmed the sea, He can do all things.
I recently had a great experience. I recently moved to assisted living. Several months ago I lived at independent living. I had tools there that I used to cut my toe nails. The other day I had a sore toe. I thought, "If I only had those tools." I decided to pray to our God, telling Him He can do all things and I would like if He would put them in a cupboard for me. Amazingly, He did. Our God does miracles and answers prayers.
What I wish to tell you is, if you do not have Jesus as your Savior, you are like a man who missed getting on a boat.
Baseball: I feel when an owner of a team is from Michigan, I feel all the players should be from Michigan. To bring players from all over the world is ridiculous. I feel the players should be from the state the owner is. That would help our unemployment, too.
My memory tells me at a time past there existed a "monopoly law." A business could only be so large. Now, the sky is the limit. Result - big businesses put little businesses out of business.
I think there should be a law that men can only possess a million dollars in value. I said, "possess." One million does as much good as several. Man can only eat so much. Why should man store and store? If the government got all beyond a million, that would reduce the debt. If a person said, "Why work?" after a million, that would help unemployment. Man could work as much as he wishes but not possess beyond a million in value.
Democrats and the president should get together. They could put the government in good shape quickly. Man should not be allowed to have an account outside the U.S. He should be allowed to give away overseas, but not store up overseas. This idea would be good for everyone, rich and poor.
