BOSTON, Mass. - Quality Farm & Fleet stores will now accept gift certificates issued between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31, they announced today.
Prior to today, gift certificates were not accepted and the only recourse was filing a claim through bankruptcy court.
The gift certificates, issued by Quality Stores Inc., may be redeemed during the store closing sales which are under way in the Warsaw store as well as other area Farm & Fleet stores. There are also stores in Columbia City, Goshen, Kendallville and Rochester.
The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Michigan made the ruling Thursday. "We are so pleased that consumers can now exchange their gift certificates for merchandise in the stores," said James Schaye, principal of Boston-based Gordon Brothers Group, the companies that are managing the closing sales. "The sales are in full swing and consumers can still find significant savings in every department."
Closing sales will continue until all merchandise has been sold. The stores are offering storewide discounts off the lowest ticketed prices in all product categories.
No additional information was available from local store management on the future of the Warsaw location.
