In celebration of Agriculture Day on March 15, the Kosciusko County Agricultural Committee recognized an anonymous family for their child being born March 16. The family received a gift basket filled with baby toys, books, outfits, a baby blanket and other items. This giveaway was the kick-off for two additional upcoming events. The committee also hosts Ag Day in April for area fourth graders and the Taste of Agriculture for the entire community. All community members are invited to attend the Taste of Ag April 12 at 5 p.m. at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds. This free event will feature food produced in Kosciusko County and will provide an opportunity to meet farmers that produce and sell these products. Additionally, activities for all ages will be held including a coloring contest, scavenger hunt and kiddie pedal tractor pull. Attendees will have the chance to win door prizes including grocery gift cards, locally grown food products and gift certificates to area agribusinesses. For more information contact the Kosciusko County Extension Office at 574-372-2340.
