A tree that fell onto a power line early Monday morning knocked power out for about 52,000 NIPSCO customers.
Rick Calinzky, with NIPSCO public relations, said about 2:56 a.m. Monday severe weather in the area caused a tree to fall onto a small transmission line. The tree fell west of Warsaw on Old 30, Calinzky said, and it took crews a little more than two hours to completely restore power.
