Find out at the Wagon Wheel Theatre for the 2007 holiday production of "Cinderella," opening Nov. 30 and running the first three weekends in December.

Friday and Saturday shows are at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinee is at 2 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults, students 13 through college are $16, and children 12 and under are $12. Special rates are available for groups of 15 or more.

The Wagon Wheel Theatre has chosen Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella," for its holiday show in 2007 - 50 years after it first appeared on national television in 1957.

The story was a familiar one due to the Walt Disney animated feature released in movie theaters in 1950. NBC television had been successful in attracting family audiences with Mary Martin in "Peter Pan," broadcast in 1955. When CBS executives decided to find its own family production, they looked to the song-writing team of Rodgers and Hammerstein - and the fairy tale of "Cinderella." They chose British actress Julie Andrews to star in the role of Cinderella, who happened to be in New York City appearing in Lerner and Loewe's "My Fair Lady."

Returning to the Wagon Wheel stage, Jennie Sophia will be Cinderella. Also returning are local favorites Mike Yocum and Crystal VanArtsdalen, among others.

After making television history, the songwriters announced they would expand "Cinderella" into a complete Broadway musical. Although that did not happen, a stage adaptation was created. "Cinderella" was remade for television in 1965 starring Lesley Ann Warren, and again in 1997 with Brandy as Cinderella.
