In recent weeks there have been reports in the media regarding alleged unfair business practices conducted by the owners of Fahl Manufactured Homes. The issue is controversial, with two opposing viewpoints. It remains unresolved and likely will not be settled without going to court.
The media reports, however, stem from just one individual, who as a matter of record, still owes $76,000 to the company. In the meantime, anyone not acquainted with Jan and Joe Callaghan (the owners), would not have access to all of the facts surrounding the case. We, as the signees, have the good fortune to know them either personally or professionally. Each of us can provide objective information not included in the newspapers or by radio.
For example, the public should know that Jan and Joe have lived in Warsaw for 36 years and been in business for more than 19 years. They are hard working, generous and community minded. More than 1,500 customers have purchased their homes and the buyers were treated fairly and honestly. Fahl Homes employs 12 full-time and five part-time individuals and, fortunately, the business continues to prosper.
The undersigned indicates that each of us can vouch for the Callaghans in terms of their integrity, character and business ethics. Anyone acquainted with Joe and Jan would find it difficult to believe otherwise. It would indeed be a sad day for all of us and certainly unjust to discover that an individual's reputation could be damaged without all of the evidence.
We urge the readers to consider all relevant information before passing judgment.
