In response to Kaci Slough’s letter on gas, you are 100 percent correct about the gas prices not being the president’s fault. Now I hope some of the democrats will get it through their heads that it wasn’t Bush’s fault either. I truly expected to have a whole page of people ripping me to shreds.
But really if you Google gas prices, there are some who are still blaming the Republicans for it. It needs to be fixed, period. If we continue to depend on foreign oil we are all going to be in trouble. I think we can all agree on that.
One bad part of it all is most, if not all, of the politicians today have their money invested in oil, so depending on them to fix the problem is pretty much a mute point. Why is gas more costly around here as compared to Fort Wayne or some of the other local cities?
So, yep, I wrote it expecting to get hammered from the Bush haters and I guess I will before it’s over, but it was good to see that there is one person out there who looks beyond the politics of it all. I’m not a Obama supporter, just wish someone could get it turned around. Have a good day.
