More than 650 Everwise Credit Union employees will roll up their sleeves to volunteer in communities across the state of Indiana and southwest Michigan during the Everwise Day of Giving Monday.
Volunteers will be painting, landscaping and organizing donations at 44 nonprofits.
This marks the seventh corporatewide day of service for Everwise since 2018. The credit union’s more than 50 branches, corporate and auxiliary offices will be closed, allowing all employees to dedicate a full day to serving others.
“At Everwise, we take pride in making a genuine difference in the lives of people across the communities we serve,” said Jason M. Osterhage, president and CEO of Everwise. “Our Day of Giving is a true reflection of our people-first culture, where our employees unite to create meaningful and lasting impact.”
Locally, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sleep in Heavenly Peace, 4189 Ind. 14, Silver Lake, 9 a.m., volunteers will be preparing wood for building beds, organizing and cleaning the warehouse.
Sleep is Heavenly Peace is dedicated to building, assembling and delivering bunk beds to children and families in need.
