Ellsworth and Shirley Everest recently celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
Ellsworth and Shirley Border were married Sept. 24, 1961, in Bourbon, at the EUB Church by the Rev. D.E. Littler.
They are members of Leesburg United Methodist Church and have owned and operated Everest Excavating LLC for 45 years.
They have three children: Kevin (and spouse Chris) Everest, Texas; Kimberly Johnson (and Jay Weaver), Arizona; and Keith (and spouse Lori) Everest, Warsaw; and four grandchildren.
An open house will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 15 at Leesburg Lions Building, Church Street.
The only gift required is the presence of family and friends.
