A car show, beverage tent and big wheel race are some of the items planned for this year's Downtown Days in Warsaw.
Warsaw Community Development Corp. Tuesday discussed the event planned for Aug. 7-8.
Downtown merchant sidewalk sales will be Aug. 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Warsaw Parks Department will hold its Family Carnival Aug. 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Central Park.Many events also are scheduled for Aug. 8.
Warsaw Community Public Library will hold its annual book and rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the library.
A 9/11 Memorial Committee Lincoln Highway garage sale will be in the Munson Lot from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Lincoln Highway garage sales will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Registration for the K21 Health Foundation 5K will be on the southeast corner of the Kosciusko County courthouse from 8 to 8:45 a.m., with a 5K race through downtown beginning at 9 a.m.
The 29th annual Penguin Point/Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Big Wheel Race championship will be at 10:30 a.m. on Center Street between Buffalo and Indiana Street. Registration will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
Entertainment tent activities will be set up from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A watermelon feast will be in the National City Bank parking lot from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Children's activities will be in the National City parking lot from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with face painting, small amusement rides, games and activities.
The downtown classic criterium cycling race will be from 1 to 7 p.m.
The Kosciusko County Vilo Cycling Club Safety City/Kid's Bike Zone event will be from 3 to 4:45 p.m.
Rex's Rendezvous will have a beverage tent on North Buffalo Street from 4 to 10:30 p.m.
A free downtown classic criterium kid's race will be for ages 4 to 12 years old at 5:30 p.m. Pre-registration at the Kid's Bike Zone starts at 1 p.m. Staging will be on the southeast corner of the courthouse at 5 p.m.
A classic car cruise sponsored by Bowen Center will be from 7:30 to 10 p.m. with Joe's Garage performing on the courthouse lawn.
The cruise-in will include free entry, door prizes and awards.
The cruise-in includes a hog roast, gourmet burgers, elephant ears, Mexican food, ice cream and pizza.
