STRUTHERS, Ohio - Evelyne June Dear, 84, of Youngstown, and formerly of Pulaski, Pa., died April 5, 2008, in Omni Manor Health Care Center.
She was born Nov. 13, 1923, in Warsaw, to George and Lillian Grubbs Oswalt. On April 25, 1946, she married William E. Dear Jr., who died June 25, 1985.
She was a 1942 Warsaw High School graduate and attended Columbia University and Sharon Academy of Beauty. She was a member of the "Forget-me-not" Garden Club, West Middlesex; Women's Club of West Middlesex; and Order of the Eastern Star, and a former member of West Middlesex Presbyterian Church. She was a World War II Coast Guard veteran, serving as a pharmacist's mate.
Surviving are two daughters, Sally (and spouse Ray) Freddo, Glenshaw, Pa., and Laura (and spouse Dan) DiPiero, Boardman; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two infant sons and two brothers.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
No calling is planned.
