NORTH WEBSTER – Evelyn Wittig, 80, Pierceton, passed away April 7, 2014, at her residence. She was born Sept. 12, 1933, in East Chicago to Lucian and Jennie Zebrewska Napwocki. On Jan. 5, 1952, in East Chicago she married Robert P. “Bob” Wittig, who survives in Pierceton. She graduated from Washington High School in East Chicago. She was a homemaker and moved to the Pierceton area in 1972 from Hammond. She enjoyed making ceramics, and was an avid reader. Also surviving are a daughter, Barbara (and spouse Tom) Pasko, Pierceton; a son, Robert (and spouse Andrea) Wittig Jr., Mason, Mich.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. There will be no public services at this time. Private family burial will take place at a later date.
