NAPPANEE - Evelyn Maxine Ringenberg, 85, of 7873 E. Cherokee Road, Syracuse, died at 9:50 p.m. June 3, 2007, in Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born March 5, 1922, in Elkhart County, to Ralph and Zoa Stump Whitehead. On July 1, 1939, she married Max E. Ringenberg, who died in 1983.
She retired from Anderson-Boling, Goshen, in 1984, and was a member of Wawasee Property Owner's Association.
Surviving are two sons, Leon Ringenberg, Elkhart, and Steve Ringenberg, Matthews, N.C.; two daughters, Mrs. Charlie (Kathy) Keppel, Jeffersonville, and Mrs. Roger (Ginger) Evans, Elkhart; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Kate Scott, Fort Wayne; a stepsister, Reba Green Sandlin, Ligonier; and a stepbrother, Roger Holderman, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a sister, a half sister and two stepbrothers.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.
