NORTH MANCHESTER - Evelyn M. Bush, 87, of North Manchester, died at 9:15 a.m. March 18, 2010, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born April 13, 1922, in Silver Lake, to Ernest and Marie Metzger Sievers Floor. On Nov. 9, 1944, she married Max H. Bush, who died Feb. 25, 1990.
For several years she worked for the Paul and Sara Heckman family in their home and also at Heckman Bindery, North Manchester, retiring in 1986. After retiring she opened a day care in North Manchester, where she cared for many area children. She was a member of Ivy Chapter 69, Order of the Eastern Star, North Manchester.
Surviving are three sons, Todd (and spouse Ann) Bush, Bristol, and Gary (and spouse Deborah) Bush and Kent (and spouse Ginger) Bush, all of Middlebury; a half brother, Mark Floor, Maine; a sister, Lois L. Ramey, Michigan City; three half sisters, Pam Ward, Warsaw; Marykay Simmons, Charlotte, Mich.; and Doris Lee Finn, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
Calling is from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
