Evelyn Louise Wagner, 92, Warsaw, passed away at 5 p.m. July 27, 2015, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was born July 20, 1923, in Wabash County, to William Ward and Ruth Marie Nute Sittler. She was once married to Bob Stump and Gene Kain, and on March 13, 1964, she remarried Mervin “Red” Elwood Wagner, who preceded her in death June 6, 1990. She was a seamstress for many years at Danek in Warsaw and had attended Pierceton High School. She had worked many jobs throughout her life in retail stores and in factories. She was a cashier at Woodies Grocery Store, Thomas Discount Store, Danner’s Discount Store and she worked as a florist in Ace Hardware’s floral department. She was a hard worker. She enjoyed bingo, reading and was a great supporter of Our Father’s House in Warsaw. Survivors are: two daughters: Sandy (and spouse Robert) Denton, Warsaw; Roz (and spouse David) Morgan, Claypool; four sons, Willard (and spouse Susie) Wagner, Warsaw; and Bob Jr., Amos and John Stump, all of Warsaw; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, a granddaughter, two sons, Mervin Michael Wagner and William “Bill” Kain, and her son-in-law, Frank Banghart, Sr. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Ken Locke officiating. A graveside service will follow at Mentone Cemetery.
