Evelyn L. Moore, 82, of 205 N. Jefferson, Silver Lake, passed away in the presence of her children at 9:15 p.m. Oct. 14, 2011, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born April 3, 1929, in Zanesville (Wells County), to William H. and Constance E. Moore Watson. On Aug. 11, 1945, she married Lloyd M. Moore, who died Dec. 28, 2009. They were together for 64 years and the parents of five children.
She enjoyed homemaking, gardening and raising her children. In addition she found great pleasure in being involved in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She retired from Zimmer Manufacturing after 22 years of employment. During her retirement years, she and her husband travelled extensively. Their travels included 13 foreign countries and every state in the United States. She was a member of the Kosciusko County Home Economics Club, the Warsaw Chapter of Eastern Star, a local knitting club and the Warsaw First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are four sons, Tom (and spouse Bonnie) Moore, Leesburg; and Jeff (and spouse Lorene) Moore, Jerry (and spouse Marsha) Moore and Terry (and spouse Emily) Moore, all of Warsaw; a daughter, Janet (and spouse Ken) Scott, Carmel; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, five brothers and a granddaughter.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, Warsaw, with Pastor Toni Carmer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
