SYRACUSE — Evelyn Johnson, 91, formerly of Syracuse, passed away Nov. 5, 2017, at Greencroft in Goshen.
She was born Feb. 7, 1926, in North Webster, to Homer Russell and Elizabeth Mock Baker. On April 29, 1945, she married Frank Johnson, who preceded her in 2000.
She was a 1944 Milford High School graduate. She was a member of New Salem Church of the Brethren, and most recently New Paris Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by her two daughters, Carolyn (Richard) Schmidt, Bremen, and Nancy Stansberry, Fort Wayne; three grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents; husband; son, Arnold Russell Johnson; infant sister, Dorothy Jane Baker; and two brothers, Bruce and Phillip Baker.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Pastor Stan Godfrey officiating. Calling will be two hours prior, from 1:30 until 3:30. Burial will follow at the Syracuse cemetery.
