Evelyn M. Hyde, 69, passed away at 11:10 p.m. Feb. 13, 2014, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born June 16, 1944, in Warsaw, to Ira R. and Annabelle Tyson Pratt. On June 17, 1960, in Warsaw, she married Ira L. Hyde, who survives in Warsaw. A lifetime Warsaw resident, she was a homemaker. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 49; loved calling back Bingo cards with her husband as the caller and equally loved chatting with the Bingo players; and enjoyed puzzle books. When she was younger she loved going out with Ira on a Friday or Saturday night to do something fun; was always there for her family; she was the rock and the glue that held them together. Also surviving are four sons: Ira Robert (and spouse Tammy) Hyde, Warsaw; Sammy (and spouse Robin) and Richard Hyde, all of Warsaw; and Harold (and spouse Jane) Hyde, Logansport; two daughters, Sharon (and spouse Matt) Wagoner and Idris Chestnut, all of Warsaw; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Karen Heeter, Warsaw, and Mary Louise Baker, Pierceton; three brothers: Ira L. (and spouse Mary Jo) Pratt, Goshen; Charles (and spouse Lorreta) Pratt, Warsaw; Ronald (and spouse Kim) Pratt, Pierceton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three daughters: Brenda Sheetz, who died Aug. 11, 2013; Anna May Hyde and Lillian Marie Hyde; a stillborn infant; an unborn infant; a grandson, Andrew Wagoner, who died June 11, 2011; her father, Ira R. Pratt, who died Sept. 6, 1988; her mother, Annabelle Pratt, who died Sept. 29, 2010; a brother, Robert Pratt, who died Jan. 1, 1947; and a sister, Carol Ann Ditton, who died Jan. 1, 2008. Services will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 22 at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Bishop Richard Campbell, New Vision Church, Warsaw, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Calling is from 10 to 11 a.m. Feb. 22 at the funeral home.
