Eugene Mark “Geno” Epple, 55, of Holland, Mich., passed away on June 26, 2017. He was born March 15, 1962, in Portage, to Eugene G. and Rena C. Pividori Epple. He graduated from Rogers High School, Michigan City, and from Indiana University, Bloomington. He worked at Farm Bureau in Indianapolis for many years. He lived in Greenwood and Fishers for several years before moving to Holland about a year ago. Geno loved music and had a great sense of humor. He was a passionate golfer who achieved a hole-in-one on Gahm Golf Course in December 2012. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan and loved to watch Hoosiers football and basketball as well as the Indianapolis 500. Geno’s personal message to his family and many friends would be, “Peace out! Geno the Mad Italian.” Survivors include three sons: Austin Epple, Carson Epple and Rylan Epple all of LaPorte; two sisters, D.J. (Gerry) Wilson, Warsaw, and Christina (John Hayes) Epple, Chicago; two brothers, Eric (Brenda) Epple, Warsaw, and Evan (Dora) Epple, Richmond, Texas; several nieces, nephews and many caring friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Cynthia Metzger. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2017, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 408 W. Catholic St. Pierceton, with Father Chuck Herman of the church officiating. Burial will take place at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Pierceton. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N.
