NAPPANEE - Eugene A. Yoder, 76, of 456 E. Centennial St., Nappanee, died at 1:20 p.m. April 20, 2009, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
He was born Dec. 8, 1932, in Fort Wayne, to Kenneth and Esther Etzler Yoder. On June 10, 1955, in Albion, he married Marian Stoller, who survives.
He moved to Nappanee from New Haven in 1964. He was a graduate of New Haven High School and earned a business degree from International Business College, Fort Wayne. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a crop insurance adjuster. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bremen, and Nappanee American Legion. He was a former member of the Nappanee Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Also surviving are two daughters, Diane Enos, Elkhart, and Gina Yoder, Hanover, N.H.; three sons: David (and spouse Jeanne) Yoder, Niles, Mich.; Bob (and spouse Troy) Yoder, Plymouth; Steve (and spouse Maggie) Yoder, Erin, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a brother, Duane (and spouse Carol) Yoder, Goshen. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bremen, with the Rev. Roger Rohde officiating. Burial will be at Bremen Cemetery. There will be a military graveside service by Nappanee American Legion.
