An Etna Green woman was injured when she was hit by a car while trying to stop four shoplifters at a Warsaw store Monday night.
The manager of Elder-Beerman, 2856 Frontage Road, Warsaw, and two other employees reportedly followed four shoplifters, described as white males, out of the store around 8:34 p.m. Monday.
Some of the men got into a light blue or green Honda Accord, and at least one man got into a dark green Honda Civic and tried to leave the parking lot. The light vehicle hit the store manager and left the scene. She was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for unspecified injuries, where she was treated and released.
The men reportedly left the store with merchandise including shirts, pants and sweatshirts. The suspects have not been caught, but surveillance video footage from the store was given to police according to the store manager.
The incident remains under investigation by the Warsaw Police Department.
