ETNA GREEN – A boil advisory has been issued for Etna Green water customers on the recommendation of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. The boil order was recommended due to a power outage during routine maintenance on the water tower, causing pressure to drop below 20 psi in the distribution system. It is recommended that all cooking and drinking water be brought to a complete boil for five minutes before using. Residents are advised to continue to boil cooking and drinking water until the town gives notice that boiling is no longer necessary, which is expected by Wednesday. Water customers are also asked to conserve water and only use what is necessary for household and personal needs, according to the release from the town water department.
