IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR DRINKING WATER

MONITORING REQUIREMENTS NOT MET FOR

ETNA GREEN WATER DEPARTMENT

Our water system recently violated a drinking water standard. Although this is not an emergency, as our customers, you have a right to know what happened.

We are required to monitor your drinking water for specific contaminants on a regular basis. Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not our drinking water standards meet EPA's health standards. During January 1 - December 31, 2017 we did not monitor for Fluoride and Sodium and therefore cannot be sure of the quality of our drinking water at that time.

What should I do?

There is nothing you need to do at this time.

What does this mean?

This is not an immediate risk. If it had been, you would have been notified immediately.

What Happened? What is being done? Explain below.

The testing lab received the water samples to run the VOC test on November 29, 2017. The lab failed to run the test for Fluoride and Sodium samples.

We anticipate resolving the problem within problem was resolved as of February 2, 2018.

For more information, please contact Barry Baker at 574-858-9321 or P.O. Box 183, Etna Green, IN 46524.
