CLAYPOOL - An Etna Green man drowned Sunday at Yellow Creek Lake Camp, Claypool.
At approximately 4:25 p.m. Sunday, the Kosciusko County Central Dispatch Center received a report of a possible drowning at the Yellow Creek Lake Camp, West CR 900S, Claypool.
According to witnesses' statements, Christopher R. Miller, 20, Etna Green, was swimming at the beach area when fellow swimmers noticed he was missing.
Miller was found unconscious in the water and brought to the pier, where bystanders performed CPR. Arriving deputies continued CPR until the arrival of medic units. Miller was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses estimated Miller may have been under water for up to 15 minutes prior to rescue efforts.
The incident remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Dept.
