WABASH – Ethel Inez Kinsey, 95, of North Manchester, died at 2:10 p.m. May 27, 2013, in Wabash County Hospital.
She was born Sept. 30, 1917, in Berthold, N.D., to John and Golda Feigley Slack. On March 12, 1938, in Claypool, she married Roy L. Kinsey, who survives.
She graduated from Claypool High School in 1936 and Indiana University Purdue University School of Nursing, Fort Wayne. She was a registered nurse and worked at Wabash County Hospital, Vernon Manor Childrens Home, Timbercrest Retirement Community and Peabody Retirement Community. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Wabash. She enjoyed reading, knitting, cross stitching, crocheting, crafts and gardening. She lived in Claypool before moving to 1306 Sunset Drive, North Manchester, where she lived for 30 years.  She then lived in Wabash for seven years, Kokomo for four years, at Bickford Cottage in Wabash a year and had lived at Peabody since 2011.
Also surviving are three children: David (and spouse Carolyn)  Kinsey, Harned, Ky.; Anne (and spouse Dr. Robert) Steele, Kokomo; and Mary (and spouse Stan) Willmert, Wabash; seven grandchildren: Andrew (and spouse Lacy) Montgomery, Chicago, Ill.; Scott Montgomery, Kokomo; Stephanie Kinsey, Bloomington; Marienne Kinsey, Indianapolis; Konrad (and spouse Julie) Willmert, Jonesboro; Kristopher (and spouse Stephanie) Willmert, LaFontaine; and Anne Willmert, Wabash; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Neff, Applegate, Ore. She was preceded in death by her sister, Irene Cauffman.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, 173 Hale Drive, Wabash, with Pastor Jeremy Yeadon officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash, is in charge of arrangements.
