Ethel D. Shepherd, 91, of Warsaw, died at 7:25 a.m. Feb. 12, 2010, in Parkview-Noble Hospital, Kendallville.

She was born Jan. 18, 1919, in Floyd County, Ky., to Smith and Audie Poe Johnson. In 1935, in Kentucky, she married Odis Shepherd, who died Sept. 22, 1995.

Living in Claypool from 1952-93, when she moved to Warsaw. She was a homemaker and a member of Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Warsaw.

Surviving are three sons, Arnold (and spouse Cindy) Shepherd, John (and spouse Sandy) Shepherd and Donald (and spouse Patty) Shepherd, all of Ligonier; a sister, Grethel Gibson, Warsaw; a brother, Butler Johnson, Warsaw; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, three sisters, two brothers, a grandson and a great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Warsaw, with Pastors Glen Hughes, Rick Johnson and David Cripe officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool.

Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
