Ethel D. Johnson, 75, who has lived in the Akron area since 2007 and formerly of Prestonsburg, Ky., passed away at 10:35 a.m. Dec. 13, 2013, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was born April 13, 1938, in Prestonsburg, to Amos Lester Sr. and Gladys Prater Dotson. On Feb. 5, 1984, in Prestonsburg, she married Henry Johnson Jr., who died Aug. 31, 2009. She was a homemaker, and a member of Full Gospel Pentecostal Church, Silver Lake. Surviving are two sons, Dean (and spouse Geretta) Greene, Leesburg, and Jim (and spouse Leslie) Greene, Bristol, Ill.; three grandchildren: Sossity Goble, Claypool; Jeremy (and spouse Aime) Greene, Leesburg; and Rachel Greene, Bristol; five great-grandchildren: Kendra, Ashton, Parker, Paxton and Bryson; and a sister, Eva Lee Hill, Dayton, Ohio. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Amos L. Johnson Jr. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Carl Hughes of Full Gospel Pentecostal Church, officiating. Burial is in Dotson Family Cemetery, Prestonsburg.
